Yes. Every Procraft heater is CSA approved, which is what electrical inspectors look for and what home insurers expect on a permanently wired appliance.

Every heater is backed by a 5-year manufacturer warranty. Heating elements are the one exception: like brake pads or an oven element, they're a wear item and aren't part of the warranty. See our warranty page.

Yes. Procraft heaters run on their own dedicated circuit and must be wired by a licensed electrician to code. See sauna electrical requirements.

Both. Every Procraft heater is wall-mounted and rated for indoor or outdoor sauna rooms. See indoor saunas and outdoor saunas.

From the manufacturer's manual (Table 1): SAB-45HN 30 A, SAB-60HN 35 A, SAB-80HN 50 A, SAB-90HN 50 A, on a dedicated 240 V circuit with a disconnect in the fixed wiring. The manual lists these by model number, which is on the heater's rating plate. Full table and wiring notes on our installation and safety page, or download the user manual (PDF).

The manufacturer states, by model: SAB-45HN 3 × 10 AWG, SAB-60HN 3 × 9 AWG, SAB-80HN and SAB-90HN 3 × 7 AWG. We print those exactly as the manual gives them. 9 and 7 AWG are not standard North American conductor sizes, so your licensed electrician selects the next standard size that satisfies the breaker rating and your local code. Manufacturer figures (Table 1): SAB-45HN 3 to 6 m³, SAB-60HN 5 to 9 m³, SAB-80HN 8 to 12 m³, SAB-90HN 9 to 13 m³, with a minimum room height of 1900 mm. Each square metre of uninsulated surface (glass, for example) adds about 1.2 m³ to the volume you size for. If you are between sizes, send us your interior dimensions through the contact page.

Side wall 5 to 13 cm and bench 8 to 20 cm depending on model, 1100 mm to the ceiling (850 mm with the heat insulation board fitted), and the heater bottom 180 mm above the floor. A non-metallic guardrail is required not closer than 50 mm from the heater. All of it, by model, is on the installation and safety page.

The manufacturer's manual describes the SAB-HN series as designed for small sauna rooms and allows one heater per room; it does not address commercial or club use. If you are planning a commercial installation, contact us with the room size and expected hours of use before you order.

Procraft's own installation guide puts a typical licensed electrician bill at $500 to $1,500, depending on the distance from your panel to the sauna. It varies by region and by what your panel can take, so get a written quote before you order. The circuit and wire figures by model are on the installation and safety page.
