Procraft makes four electric sauna heaters, from 4.5kW to 9kW. They share the same build and features. The only real question is how much power your room needs, and that comes down to the size of the sauna and whether it sits indoors or out.
| Model | Output | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 4.5kW heater | 4.5kW | Small indoor sauna rooms |
| 6kW heater | 6kW | Mid-size rooms, indoor or outdoor |
| 8kW heater | 8kW | Larger rooms, especially outdoor saunas |
| 9kW heater | 9kW | Large rooms, outdoor saunas, and extreme cold |
The bigger the room, the more power you need to bring it up to temperature and hold it there. An outdoor sauna, or a room with a lot of glass, loses heat faster and usually calls for a step up in size. As a starting point:
If you are between two sizes, our heater sizing guide walks through it in more detail. When in doubt, tell us your room dimensions and we will point you to the right one.
Every Procraft heater comes with 50 lbs of rocks and runs as a dry sauna out of the box. When you want steam, ladle a little water over the hot rocks and you get a burst of humidity. More on that in can you pour water on an electric sauna heater.
Every Procraft electric sauna heater is CSA approved, designed in Canada, and covered by a 5-year limited warranty. Always follow the heater manual and use a licensed electrician for the wiring.
Everything on this site is the heater. If you still need the room to put it in, Procraft's handcrafted Western red cedar saunas are at procraftsauna.ca.
