Who this heater is for

The 6kW suits mid-size sauna rooms, indoor or outdoor. If your room is between two sizes, go up rather than down. Work yours out with our heater sizing guide, or send us your interior dimensions and we will point you to the right model.

Wet and dry operation

This is a traditional sauna heater. It runs as a dry sauna out of the box, and because it holds a bed of rocks you can ladle water over them for steam whenever you want it. Pour a small ladle at a time over the rocks only, keeping water off the casing, the element and the controls, and follow the instructions in the heater manual. Full detail in can you pour water on an electric sauna heater.

Electrical

This heater runs on its own dedicated circuit. A licensed electrician sizes the wire and breaker to the heater rating on the rating plate and wires it to your local electrical code. It is not designed to run from a general-purpose outlet, and correct installation is what keeps the warranty valid. See sauna electrical requirements.

Installation

The heater is wall-mounted and rated for indoor or outdoor sauna rooms. Follow the manual for minimum clearances from benches, walls and anything that can burn, then load the rocks so air can move through them rather than packing them tight. We install saunas regularly, and you can see how that works on our installation page.
